We had given up all hope of finding the right size house in the right neighborhood at a price we could afford.  Tom Bain didn't quit though.  One day I got a phone call "I'm standing in your new house. You better get over here quick!"  And it was true. He had found everything we were looking for.Tom helped us craft our purchase agreement and did a fabulous job of interacting with the sellers.   Tom then handled the sale of our old house in an equally professional manner.  We couldn't be more pleased with how well Tom Bain looked out for our family!

 I was one of those people who waited far too long to purchase my first house because, frankly, I was quite terrified and intimidated by the entire process.  When I asked Tom and Jean to help me out, I really didn't think that there was a place out there for me - I had been looking on my own for about a year and was very dissolutioned with what I saw within my price range.  However, I provided my wish list and passed the torch to the Bains.  After a short period of time, I got that call that Tom is famous for making, "Drop what you are doing, I'm standing in your house."  Long story short, I got my house and I couldn't be happier!  I was just exploring the idea of purchasing a home. I really wasn't sure it was something I could afford to do.  I was a 34 year old single woman on a 4th year teachers salary.  Tom crunched the numbers, told me about monies available to first time homeowners, and programs that were available in the city.
